Born and raised in New York's mid hudson valley, I began drawing and painting at an early age. During my senior year of high school, I attended weekend undergraduate classes at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. I decided college would be a great opportunity to see what the West Coast had to offer.

I attended The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. My studies included fine art as well as graphic design, digital design, photography and advertising. I graduated in the fall of 2001 with a BFA in advertising design.

After college, I began a career in retail visual merchandising. This career opportunity came with a lot of international travel. My more recent work has become very much influenced by the cities I have visited.

I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I founded Jeffrey Hoffmann Design in 2015 and run a business providing clients with graphic design and web design solutions to meet their personal and business needs.
